I discovered an issue, introduced in 2.1.3162, where some metadata items appear twice in the image metadata popup window. Typical items that appear twice:

Camera Model
Camera Make
Date Taken

Attached is a patch. This patch has only been tested against the most recent 2.1.3196 release, so be sure to upgrade to this version before applying the patch. To implement the patch, just copy the two files over the existing files in the bin directory of your Gallery Server Pro web application.

The patch affects how the metadata items are extracted but does not fix the existing duplicate items. To delete your duplicates, run a synchronization the the option "Re-import metadata" selected.

Note: Remember that if you deleted your hi-res photos, the compressed versions do not have any metadata, and re-synching will cause you to lose the metadata. If this is an issue, the only workaround is to go into the database and manually delete the duplicate items from the gs_MediaObjectMetadata table.

This fix will be included in versions later than 2.1.3196.

The first ZIP file contains the compiled patch. The second (the one with the word "source" in the name) contains the updated source code files.) Most of you will want the compiled patch. Download the source code only if you plan to compile the code.
